Dr. Allaei is a native of sunny San Diego, California. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at the University of California, San Diego. After graduating Summa Cum Laude he pursued research in breast cancer after which he earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the State University of New York. Prior to the start of residency Dr. Allaei practiced as a general doctor gaining experience with a variety of surgeons in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. He subsequently completed residency training in New York followed by Fellowship at the prestigious Mallinckrodt Institution at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Medical Center in Vascular and Interventional Radiology.

As a vascular and image guided specialist, Dr. Allaei has extensive experience in all facets of minimally invasive procedures including uterine fibroid embolization, adenomyosis, thyroid RFA ablation, pelvic congestion and varicocele embolizations, sclerotherapy, prostatic hypertrophy embolization, peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, kyphoplasty, chemoembolization, Y90 radioembolization, percutaneous tumor ablation and many others. Being dual board-certified in Vascular & Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging patients can rest assured that they are receiving the most advanced care and attention to detail.

Dr. Allaei has special interest in vascular and embolization procedures because of its significant impact on relieving patient symptoms and preventing surgery. Having performed over 5,000 image guided procedures patients receive top care in expert hands. Dr. Allaei is dedicated, highly qualified and has successfully performed numerous embolization procedures in many different organs.  In addition, he has extensive experience in complex vascularization procedures improving pain, swelling, and wound healing, preventing amputation.
