MRI of a patient with painful and heavy cycles 👉The adenomyosis caused a 𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐭 portion of her symptoms but was 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 by both the prior ultrasound and the MRI report.
MRI images were reviewed by Dr Allaei who treated both the fibroids and adenomyosis with the non-surgical uterine artery embolization 🌟 3 month later the patient had normal cycles and did not need surgery 👏🏼

Large bile stone that could not be accessed by traditional methods. A tiny camera is introduced through the liver into the bile duct. The mobile stone can sometimes be floating around. After securing the stone, Dr Allaei then proctors new partner on using laser to fragment the stone.

𝐂𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐕𝐓: Cancer, COVID, immobility (long plane ride eg), birth control, surgery, injury, pregnancy, age, genetics, smoking, vascular disorders and others.
𝐃𝐕𝐓 𝐓𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: In severe cases a Vascular & Interventional Radiologist is consulted to perform thrombectomty as in the case here. A large catheter was placed into the leg and the blood clots were aspirated out.
𝐃𝐕𝐓 𝐑𝐢𝐬𝐤𝐬: The problem with a DVT is that it blocks the return of blood from the limb, this results in swelling and pain, and when severe this can lead to loss of the limb. If the DVT is large enough it will also break loose and go to the heart 😮 which may require thrombectomy as well.
On a long plane or car ride? Stand up and walk around or flex the calf muscles occasionally minimizing your risk.

Benign kidney tumor called an AML treated with liquid embolization, a mixture of a sterile glue and poppy seed oil.

𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬? The gold standard treatment is non-surgical embolization, which cuts off its blood supply so that there is no risk of bleeding. This is performed by a board certified vascular and interventional radiologist.
